I began competing in archery tournaments at the age of two. I compete in 3D marked and unmarked tournaments, indoor, Field, and Fita tournaments. I have broken and or hold over 110 State, National, Star Fita, and World Records. I am on the 2011 Jr. USAT team, and I am currently the Cadet, Jr. World Champion. Archery has givin me the oppurtunity to travel not only the Nation, but the World! I look forward to competing in many more competitions worldwide!

My dad and mom have always been avid hunters, so naturally, I followed in their footsteps. I completed the hunter safety course at the age of eight, and I've been hunting ever since. I have harvested ducks, geese, quail, pheasants, doves and turkeys. At age 12, I began hunting big game. I have taken several species including: pigs, mule deer, Rocky Mountain Elk, blacktail deer and a black bear. Although I do hunt with a rifle, I prefer archery hunting because it is more of a challenge. I have harvested turkeys, a black bear, a mule deer and a blacktail deer with my Hoyt bow.
While visiting Folrida for the Gator Cup, my mom and I went bowfishing. We harvested some nice catfish, gar and mudfish. It was great fun! Check out the other pictures on the 2011 hunting page. Contact Josh Mattson at www.gatorhunter.com if you are interested in bowfishing, airboat rides or gator hunting!

The past 2 summers, I have donated my time to the Kids Outdoor Sports Camps (KOSC). I have been teaching the Archery portion of the Hunter's Safety and then we take the kids out to the range where I teach them how to shoot. I have also been guiding the kids on several pig hunts. We harvested about 20 pigs! That was really exciting! I have also done archery presentations at our local library.
